Questions about Modular Homes
Why should I build modular?
Modular Homes are made with Better Quality, have a Faster Completion Time, and are Less Expensive than stick built homes. For more information, check out our Why Build Modular page. Can you build to our plans?
We can build virtually any plan. Whether you want us to customize one of our plans, help you design your house, or work from your blueprints, we will be able to work with you to build the house of your dreams. Will people passing by be able to tell my house is modular?
No way. Take a look at some of the plans we have on our site, and that question will answer itself. A Modular house is made with the same materials as a conventionally built home and meets and/or exceeds local building codes.I heard Modular Homes are greener than stick built homes, is this true?
Yes. Modular Homes are built greener or more friendly to the environment than stick built homes. Because they are better insulated, they require less energy to heat and cool your home. They also use less natural resources and create less waste than stick built homes. Our homes are built meeting many of the NAHB green requirements. For more information, check out our Modular is Green! section. Will I be able to get financing?
Yes. Every project we have ever worked on was paid for with conventional bank financing. Financing one of these projects is no more difficult than with a conventionally built home. For more information on financing, please contact mike@zncustombuilding.com.Are Modular Homes as strong as stick built homes?
Yes, only stronger! Because Modular Homes are built with 30% more materials to overcome the stress as they drive down the highway and are lifted by a crane, Modular Homes have to be built stronger than stick-built homes.
